How to Reset Ice Maker in Samsung Refrigerator – French Door Bottom Mount Models

How to reset the Ice Maker of Samsung

Instructions for resetting the Samsung refrigerator ice maker on both French Door and Bottom Mount models may be found below. The following are some of the most typical reasons for resetting the ice maker:

  • My Samsung refrigerator’s ice machine has stopped working.
  • My Samsung’s ice maker isn’t filling up with water.
  • Ice production is either non-existent or minimal.

Reset the ice maker on your Samsung French Door Refrigerator

Only reset your ice maker if you’re having trouble making ice or if the amount of ice you’re making is unexpectedly low. Also, check sure your ice machine isn’t turned off before conducting a reset. If the ice maker was turned off, switch it back on and wait 24 hours to see if the Samsung refrigerator ice maker needs to be reset.

For thismakers without a dispenser or with two ice makers (Type 1), there are Samsung ice maker reset instructions, as well as heated trays (Type 2).

Type 1 – For versions with two ice makers or without an ice dispenser on the door:

1st Strp: Find the Ice Maker

Pull the freezer open and look along with the ceiling towards the back left corner. The ice maker may or may not have a cover, depending on your model. The ice maker is a white box that hangs from the freezer’s ceiling.

2nd Step: Look for the Reset Button

3rd Step: Take a break for 24 hours.

Type 2 — For heated tray models:

1st Step : Find an Ice Bucket

Locate the ice bucket in the upper left corner of the left refrigerator door. Squeeze the latch release on the right side of the bucket to release it, then pull it out.

2nd Step: Look for the Reset Button

The reset button is a transparent rectangular rubber stopper that is located on the right side of the ice maker. Hold down the reset button for a few seconds.

  • When the reset begins on 2010 or newer models, you will hear a chime.
  • For those born in 2009 or later: For a full 10 seconds, press and hold the reset button.
  • Completely re-insert the ice bucket.
