There are many reasons why one might want to know how can you log into someone’s iCloud. Perhaps, they can’t find their iPhone and they need to track it down on the map through iCloud. Maybe you want to add some pictures or your new wallpaper for your phone on their device. There can be a great deal of reasons why users would like to get access to another person’s iCloud without them knowing. If these reasons apply, then we’re going to tell you exactly how can you do that.
A recently surfaced method suggests that “hackers” can take advantage of the Find My Phone feature of Apple devices in order to gain access to other people’s icloud simply by entering an email address and trying different passwords until they get the correct one. But you don’t need to be worried, because this is not exactly possible without knowing some really important details of the targeted iCloud account like country region and zip code.
3 Easy Ways to Access Someone’s iCloud Account
First way is to find the owner’s Apple ID and try to guess what passwords they may be using. You can do that by looking through popular social media apps like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for the email address linked with the iCloud account. If you happen to know them – their friends list might also contain their email address because many people use these platforms as a way of communicating with each other online.
Also, it is important to note that if someone has enabled Two-Factor Authentication on their icloud then there is no way you would be able to access it unless they have the cell phone number too. Even if not, don’t worry because apple won’t allow anyone to break into your icloud as long as you have set a good password so that other people can’t guess it. Even if someone gets hold of your password, they won’t be able to do much to get into your icloud without the required device being linked with that specific account.
On top of this, you should also know that Apple doesn’t store any information within iCloud itself so even if someone manages to access your account or all of the data stored on there, good luck trying to find anything because it won’t be there. This means all types of sensitive information are pretty safe when it comes to icloud and apple simply does not have access nor would want to have access so don’t worry about security credentials or documents etc. getting stolen.
Option Number 2
The second way of hacking into someone’s iCloud account is through phishing as discussed earlier, as long as they fall for the trap and enter their details into a fake website or type it in themselves on some unscrupulous site.
Option Number 3
The third common way of getting access to someone’s iCloud account is by knowing either their password or security question answers which sounds really obvious and elementary at first glance but this is something that people aren’t aware of just yet despite the fact that they should be more than familiar with how passwords work and what types of questions are asked when you sign up for different services online.
Around sixty percent of people use the same password across multiple sites which leaves them vulnerable to hacking attacks such as this one where all it takes is one leak from one which leads hackers directly to your other accounts.
How To Secure Yourself From iCloud Hacking
Before you start freaking out and thinking that your account is going to be hacked by one of those horrible people from those “Hacked By” sites don’t worry because it’s not as bad as you think just yet.
In order for a hacker to get into someone else’s iCloud account they would need either their password or security question answers which may seem easy enough but knowing both of those things beforehand defeats the purpose of this article so let’s focus on the password instead.
If a hacker knows your Apple ID email address then they have half way there already because now they know what service your email is tied with, however, if it isn’t well known then great! If it is-known though… uh oh.
If you don’t want people to get into your iCloud account change your Apple ID email address.
Now let’s say that they do know what service your email is tied with, maybe through other accounts like Gmail or Yahoo Mail for example. A hacker could try and reset the password on your iCloud account by using one of those emails but that would take time because neither of those emails are linked to iCloud.
Conclusion
If a hacker does know the information about both your Apple ID email and password then congratulations, they have access to all of your photos, apps, contacts etc. The only way for them not to have access now is if you have enabled two-factor authentication, the login process takes much longer for them. If you have enabled two-factor authentication already then the hacker must know the information about your security questions. This is all covered in my article on how to protect your iCloud account.
